Blink Session Partners with Speech Sounds Visualized

Colorado Springs, CO, Feb. 13, 2020, Blink Session and Speech Sounds Visualized today announced their partnership to equip online speech pathologists with resources to treat online. Speech Sounds Visualized was birthed out of Pullman Regional Hospital's (Pullman, WA) Center for Learning & Innovation with the goal of giving patients a way to visualize the physical movements necessary to products specific sounds.

Speech Sounds Visualized are interactive videos which merges video images with video fluoroscopy. Previously, these videos were only available via the Speech Sounds Visualized iOS app. Now, teletherapists and educators helping clients with articulation and accent reduction online can utilize these amazing videos seamlessly in Blink Session. Providers can display and annotate on top of videos during sessions giving patients a real-life look at what producing each sound looks like.

Therapists and other provider users of Blink Session can purchase Speech Sounds Visualized videos in the Blink Session Resource Catalog. Once purchased, they have immediate access to use them during online visits.

Keri Jones, CCC-SLP, envisioned how videos which merged fluoroscopy would help patients by giving them a accurate representation of how speech sounds are formed. Through collaborative efforts with the imaging department at Pullman Regional Hospital, Gemiini Educational Systems,a radiologic health physicist and others, the videos and app where created.
